The artist Antony Gormley, who works predominantly in metal, required more space to store raw metal materials, as well as a space for heavy and noisy processes in finishing sculptures. This robust garage-like building provides workshop and storage facilities within the yard of his existing London studio (designed by David Chipperfield, 2003).
